Great Crescent Brewery

About Us

he Great Crescent Brewery is putting the "Micro" into Microbrewery - our brewery has a 3bbl capacity. We have a great desire to own and operate our own brewery and we decided that starting small was better than not starting at all.

Our goal is to craft as much fresh beer as possible and make it available to the local residents and others that make the journey to our brewery.

All brewery's in Indiana were shut down by 1918 due to Prohibition. Our name - Great Crescent Brewery, comes from the successful and widely known Crescent Brewing company that existed in Aurora, IN from 1873-1899.

We also want to recognize the Lawrenceburg, IN Garnier Brewery, which was originally founded in 1840. The Garnier brewery operated into the 20th Century until it was shut down in 1918, at which time a Revenue collector poured 470 barrels of beer into the Ohio river that was seized under the prohibition law.

Lani commisioned our logo to be crafted in stained glass - a beautiful piece that a picture does not do justice. You really have to see it with light shining through to fully appreciate this work of art.

We invite you to come and experience the taste of Fresh Beer made locally.
